Dancers must be 12 years or older (by September 09) and willing to
commit to 4 nights and Saturday, Sunday rehearsals. Female dancers
should bring pointe shoes.
Repertoire for the season includes ballets by Peter Merz, Debbie
Blunden-Diggs, Barbara Pontecorvo, Adam Hundt and Stuart Sebastian.
New works by Erin Wheeler, Kirsten Fricke and the selected First St.
Choreography Project winner.
Season includes Victoria Theatre performance of The Sleeping
Beauty with guest artists, and Three’s Company, a collaborative
performance between GCB, Michigan Classic Ballet and DanceWest that
will occur in Dayton.

Gem City Ballet was formed
for 3 main purposes:
(1) to educate young dancers
in the joys and rigors of ballet
performance.
(2) to make quality ballet
performances available to a
wider audience.
(3) to provide new and
experienced choreographers
an opportunity to create new
works.
